Filtering reports allows you to isolate specific time entries using date ranges and custom variables so you can view exactly the data you need.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This feature is available to all users, but viewing date ranges longer than 31 days is only available on paid plans (Basic, Standard, Pro, and Enterprise).<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

Set a date range<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

  1. Go to Reports > Summary\/Detailed>Weekly<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n
  2. Click the dates in the calendar (upper right corner)<\/li>\n\n\n\n

    You can select predefined options like Today<\/strong>, This week<\/strong>, or Last month<\/strong>, or click the arrows to easily navigate between previous and upcoming periods.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

    Hide or unhide filters<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

    1. Click on the Filter<\/strong> dropdown menu at the top of the page<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    2. Check the items you want to show in your filter menu<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    3. Uncheck the items you want to hide from your filter menu<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

      If you use custom fields<\/a>, you must select them from this dropdown menu first before they will appear as regular filter options.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

      If the field you want to enable is grayed out, uncheck other fields.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      Apply report filters<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

      1. Select one or more filters at the top of the page, such as client, project, tag, or description<\/li>\n\n\n\n
      2. Click the Apply Filter<\/strong> button (upper-right corner) to generate a report containing only your filtered entries<\/li>\n\n\n\n
      3. Click Clear filters<\/strong> when you want to remove them<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

        You can track down missing data by filtering for entries without a client, project, task, or tag attached.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

        Understand filter options<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

        You can use a wide variety of filters to narrow down your report data. Here is a breakdown of the available filter options:                                       <\/p>\n\n\n\n

        Use Group by filter<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

        You can use the Group by<\/strong> sorting filter to change the way a report is presented. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

        To use the Group by filter:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

        1. Go to Report > Summary\/Weekly<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n
        2. Apply the main filters to your report (Project, Client, Status, etc.)<\/li>\n\n\n\n
        3. Scroll down to locate the Group by<\/strong> drop down option on top of the table<\/li>\n\n\n\n
        4. Apply the sorting options you want using one, two, or all three drop down menus\n
