Set up office locations<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The Office Locations<\/strong> feature lets admins define trusted office network locations. This configuration helps determine whether employees are working remotely or from the office based on network signals.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

<\/p>\n\n\n\n

You do not need to fill out every network field, but you must provide at least one valid network identifier (Public IP, IP Range, or Router MAC address) to save the location.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

To set up a location:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

  1. Navigate to Monitoring<\/strong> > Office locations<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n
  2. Click the Add location<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n
  3. Enter the the following information:\n
      \n
    • Location name<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • IP Range \/ Address (optional): Defines a single office public IP address or an entire network range using standard CIDR notation.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • Clique em Adicionar<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

      • IPv4 CIDR Subnet: e.g., 203.0.113.0\/20 (Prefix length between \/0 and \/32)<\/li>\n\n\n\n
      • IPv6 CIDR Subnet: e.g., 2001:db8:0a3::\/120 (Prefix length between \/0 and \/128)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n

        You can enter an individual IP address (e.g., 203.0.113.20) or CIDR notation (e.g., 203.0.113.0\/20 for IPv4 or 2001:db8:0a3::\/120 for IPv6)<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

        Edit a location<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

        To edit a location:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

        1. Navigate to the Office locations      <\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n
        2. Locate the specific network row in the table<\/li>\n\n\n\n
        3. Click the three-dot icon<\/strong> and select Edit<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n
        4. Edit the information you want to change<\/li>\n\n\n\n
        5. Clique em Salvar<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

          Delete a location<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

          4. Click Delete again on the pop-up window to confirm the action<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

            Deleting a location cannot be undone. If you deleted a location by mistake, you\u2019ll need to add it again.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

            How locations are classified<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

            When the Monitoring agent continuously sends network data to the platform, it compares incoming connection signals against your configured office locations to automatically decide the work status.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

            The Monitoring agent attempts location matching using a strict priority rule:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

              \n
            1. Priority 1<\/strong>: Router MAC Match (This is the most reliable signal)<\/li>\n\n\n\n
            2. Priority 2<\/strong>: Exact Public IP Match<\/li>\n\n\n\n
            3. Priority 3<\/strong>: IP Range Match<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

              How the daily results are tagged:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

                \n
              • Office:<\/strong> If at least one<\/em> of the matching rules succeeds, the activity is classified as Office.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
              • Remote:<\/strong> If no configured office location matches the connection signal, it is classified as Remote.          <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n

                Location is not calculated as a single state per day. Every tracked interval is classified individually. If an employee works from the office in the morning and from home in the afternoon, the durations for Office and Remote are accumulated and displayed independently for that calendar day.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

                A Router MAC address offers a precise, unique tracking signal, distinguishing real on-premise attendance from external corporate VPN access. This ensures workspace attendance analytics remain reliable.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

                Can Team Managers add or configure new office locations?<\/strong> <\/p>\n\n\n\n

                No. Only Workspace Admins can configure office network footprints because they establish global configurations. Team Managers cannot create, edit, or delete these records.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

                What happens if an employee’s network signature triggers multiple matching rules?<\/strong> <\/p>\n\n\n\n

                Network endpoints are evaluated by priority: Router MAC, exact IP, then IP range. Validation against any trusted entry immediately resolves the evaluation, securely tagging the active session as Office work.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

                What happens to employees currently active if I delete their office location mid-day?<\/strong> <\/p>\n\n\n\n

                When a location is deleted, it will no longer be used for future location matching, and subsequent activity will automatically be classified as Remote<\/strong>.
