Groups make managing people on projects<\/a> easier. Instead of adding people to project one by one, you can create a group and assign it to a project<\/a> in one click.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

You can create, edit, and delete groups in the Groups <\/strong>tab of a Team<\/strong> page.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Create group<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

To create new group:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    \n
  1. Go to the Team<\/strong> page<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  2. Open the Groups<\/strong> tab<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  3. Enter the group\u2019s name in the Add new group<\/strong> field <\/li>\n\n\n\n
  4. Click Add<\/strong>, or press Enter<\/strong> to create new group<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

    Assign user to group<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

    To assign people to a group:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      \n
    1. Go to the Team<\/strong> page<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    2. Open the Groups<\/strong> tab<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    3. Click + Access<\/strong> under Access column<\/strong> next to the group’s name<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    4. Add people to the selected group<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

      or<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      1. Go to the Team<\/strong> page<\/li>\n\n\n\n
      2. Open the Members<\/strong> tab<\/li>\n\n\n\n
      3. Choose member<\/li>\n\n\n\n
      4. Click + Group<\/strong> <\/li>\n\n\n\n
      5. Enter group name <\/li>\n\n\n\n
      6. Add member to existing group, or create new one<\/li>\n\n\n\n
      7. Choose group from the list, or press Ctrl+Enter to create new group<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

        If you’d like to manage all user groups at once, click on the group you’d like to modify and check the Select all<\/strong> option.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

        Enter user group name in the provided field, and you’ll automatically create new user group. Member will be automatically added to a newly created group. 
        You can search for the workspace members in the search field by their group and name. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

        Remove user from group<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

        Remove a user from a group the same way as you added them.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

        To remove user from a group:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

          \n
        1. Go to the Team<\/strong> page<\/li>\n\n\n\n
        2. Open the Groups<\/strong> tab<\/li>\n\n\n\n
        3. Select the group you’d like to remove the user from<\/li>\n\n\n\n
        4. Click on the dropdown in the Access<\/strong> section<\/li>\n\n\n\n
        5. Uncheck the user to remove them<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

          Assign groups to projects<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

          Groups make managing people on projects easy. When people change teams or leave the company often, you don’t have to go through each project and remove them – all you have to do is remove them from the group.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

          You can add users to groups on the Team<\/strong> page, and then allocate the group<\/a> to a project.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

          To assign a group to a project:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

            \n
          1. Go to a project<\/li>\n\n\n\n
          2. Click Access<\/strong> tab<\/li>\n\n\n\n
          3. Click + Add<\/strong> members<\/li>\n\n\n\n
          4. Select the group<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

            Once you assign a group, everyone that belongs to that group will immediately have access to the project.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

            You can filter reports<\/a> by a group. For example, you can make a Developers group, and use the group as a filter to see only what your developers work on (and later, group the report<\/a> by User to see the time breakdown for each developer). You can also simply group the Summary report by Group and see a breakdown for each group.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
