Think of it as your company&#8217;s dedicated, secure environment within Clockify, containing everything related to your team\u2019s productivity.<br><br>A default workspace is automatically created for you when you sign up for Clockify. You also get a <a href=\"https:\/\/cake.com\/help\/introduction-to-cake-com\/what-is-cake-com-productivity-suite\/#cake-com-account\">CAKE.com Account<\/a> and organization, where you can join a workspace within an existing <a href=\"https:\/\/cake.com\/help\/introduction-to-cake-com\/glossary-of-terms\/#o\">CAKE.com organization<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A single CAKE.com account allows you to create or join multiple, separate Clockify workspaces, each with its own users, projects, and time entries.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Your workspace holds all of your organization&#8217;s data and settings, such as:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li class=\"translation-block\"><strong>People:<\/strong> All your team members, their roles, and their access permissions.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"translation-block\"><strong>Projects &amp; tasks:<\/strong> All active and archived projects, clients, and associated tasks.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"translation-block\"><strong>Time tracking logs:<\/strong> Every single time entry, timesheet, and approval record made by your team.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"translation-block\"><strong>Settings:<\/strong> All administrative configurations, from currency to branding.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Workspace settings<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"note\">Only workspace Owners and Admins can see and edit Workspace settings.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>You can modify most Clockify features in Workspace settings.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li class=\"translation-block\">Click on the <strong>three-dots<\/strong>  next to the workspace name<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"translation-block\">Choose <strong>Workspace settings<\/strong> <\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"556\" src=\"https:\/\/clockify.me\/help\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/01\/image-1024x556.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-27671\" srcset=\"https:\/\/clockify.me\/help\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/01\/image-1024x556.png 1024w, https:\/\/clockify.me\/help\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/01\/image-300x163.png 300w, https:\/\/clockify.me\/help\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/01\/image-768x417.png 768w, https:\/\/clockify.me\/help\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/01\/image-1536x834.png 1536w, https:\/\/clockify.me\/help\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/01\/image-18x10.png 18w, https:\/\/clockify.me\/help\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/01\/image.png 1600w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Use workspace settings to make the following modifications:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li class=\"translation-block\">Enable <a href=\"https:\/\/clockify.me\/help\/track-time-and-expenses\/timesheet-view\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Timesheet<\/a><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"translation-block\">Upload company logo (which will be displayed in <a href=\"https:\/\/clockify.me\/help\/reports\/customize-exports#branded-reports\">branded reports<\/a>)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Change workspace name<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"translation-block\">Set workspace <a href=\"https:\/\/clockify.me\/help\/reports\/rates\/hourly-rates\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">billable rate<\/a>&nbsp;and <a href=\"https:\/\/clockify.me\/help\/track-time-and-expenses\/multiple-currencies\">currency<\/a><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"translation-block\">Set <a href=\"https:\/\/clockify.me\/help\/getting-started\/clockify-glossary#week-start\">week start<\/a> for all workspace members<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Control who can see billable rates and amounts<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Set if projects are billable by default<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Choose how you want to group your projects (e.g. by Client)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"translation-block\">Set who can&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/clockify.me\/help\/projects\/creating-projects#creating-projects\">create projects<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/clockify.me\/help\/projects\/working-with-tasks\">tasks<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/clockify.me\/help\/projects\/creating-projects#creating-projects\">clients<\/a>, and <a href=\"https:\/\/clockify.me\/help\/track-time-and-expenses\/categorizing-time-entries#managing-tags\">tags<\/a><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Choose if the duration format will be displayed as hh:mm or hh:mm:ss<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Enable project favorites<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Choose preferred number and currency format <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"translation-block\">Manage <a href=\"https:\/\/clockify.me\/help\/administration\/subscription-plans#basic\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">paid features<\/a> (like hiding time from users, lock timesheets, required fields, hiding pages, and time rounding)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Multiple workspaces<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Clockify workspaces are intentionally designed to be completely isolated. Time entries and data recorded in one workspace are not visible in any other.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This separation is invaluable for organizations that need to maintain strict data boundaries:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-table\"><table class=\"has-fixed-layout\"><tbody><tr><td><strong>Scenario<\/strong><\/td><td><strong>Recommended workspace strategy<\/strong><\/td><\/tr><tr><td><strong>Separate business units<\/strong><\/td><td>Create a distinct workspace for each department (e.g. Marketing, Development) or subsidiary company.<br><br>Note that having multiple workspaces means paying for more seats. If you don\u2019t want the extra cost, having one workspace would be a more suitable option.&nbsp;<\/td><\/tr><tr><td><strong>Personal vs. professional<\/strong><\/td><td>Maintain a personal workspace for side projects or private time tracking, separate from your main company workspace.<\/td><\/tr><tr><td><strong>Multiple clients<\/strong><\/td><td>While not common, some companies might create separate workspaces for multiple clients<\/td><\/tr><\/tbody><\/table><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"note\">Time entries are tied to the specific workspace they were made in and are not visible in others.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Manage workspace<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"translation-block\">Workspace Owners can manage their workspace through the central <a href=\"https:\/\/cake.com\/help\/introduction-to-cake-com\/getting-started-with-cake-com-productivity-suite\/\">CAKE.com Account<\/a>.
