{"id":15850,"date":"2023-12-18T12:59:25","date_gmt":"2023-12-18T12:59:25","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/clockify.me\/help\/?p=15850"},"modified":"2026-03-03T07:37:03","modified_gmt":"2026-03-03T07:37:03","slug":"start-using-add-ons","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/clockify.me\/help\/integrations-and-add-ons\/start-using-add-ons","title":{"rendered":"Start using add-ons"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"translation-block\">To make the most of your CAKE.com and unlock its vast array of functionalities, you first need to ensure that you\u2019re logged in with your <a href=\"https:\/\/developer.marketplace.cake.com\/login\/\">CAKE.com Marketplace account<\/a>.&nbsp;<br>If you\u2019re visiting Marketplace from Clockify for the first time, you\u2019ll be automatically logged in.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Sign up for Clockify account<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"translation-block\">If you haven\u2019t signed up for a Clockify account yet, you can explore Clockify\u2019s additional capabilities by creating a CAKE.com Marketplace account.<br>First you need to create a Clockify account, with which you can subsequently log in to the CAKE.com Marketplace account.<br>For all your additional logins, navigate to the <strong>Manage accounts<\/strong> page.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"note\">Keep in mind that your email account must be verified in order to access the Marketplace account.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Log in<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"translation-block\">To log in to Clockify from the Marketplace, click the <strong>Log in with Clockify<\/strong> option and you\u2019ll be redirected to Clockify&#8217;s login page. If you\u2019re arriving from the specific <a href=\"https:\/\/clockify.me\/help\/getting-started\/data-regions\">region<\/a> or <a href=\"https:\/\/clockify.me\/help\/getting-started\/single-sign-on-sso#setting-up-custom-subdomain\">subdomain<\/a>, the Marketplace will recognize it and perform an automatic login if your email address is verified.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"496\" height=\"230\" src=\"https:\/\/clockify.me\/help\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/12\/Screenshot-2023-12-27-at-10.54.24.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-15965\" srcset=\"https:\/\/clockify.me\/help\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/12\/Screenshot-2023-12-27-at-10.54.24.png 496w, https:\/\/clockify.me\/help\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/12\/Screenshot-2023-12-27-at-10.54.24-300x139.png 300w, https:\/\/clockify.me\/help\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/12\/Screenshot-2023-12-27-at-10.54.24-18x8.png 18w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 496px) 100vw, 496px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Install free add-ons<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"translation-block\">Once you\u2019ve selected the add-on you wish to install, an <strong>Install<\/strong> screen will appear if you\u2019re an admin and already logged in with a compatible product.<br>For newcomers, after creating your account, you\u2019ll be redirected to this page to <a href=\"https:\/\/developer.marketplace.cake.com\/login\/\">log in<\/a>. Admins, on the other hand, will be redirected to the <a href=\"https:\/\/marketplace.cake.com\/login\">Log in with Clockify<\/a> screen where you\u2019ll be guided to create an admin account granting you the power to install add-ons effortlessly.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"translation-block\">In case you find yourself not logged in, don\u2019t worry. After clicking the <strong>Install<\/strong> button, a screen will remind you to create an account with an admin user role.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"translation-block\">Once logged in to the Clockify, you\u2019ll jump to the <strong>Add-on installation<\/strong> screen and the workspaces you\u2019re an admin on. Choose the desired workspace from the dropdown, or add one, if you\u2019d like. This means that the installation and billing process is handled on a workspace level.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"tip translation-block\"><strong>Per seat <\/strong>installation is coming soon.&nbsp;The add-ons installed <strong>per seat <\/strong>will be managed and billed based on individual users within a workspace.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Install modal<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>When the user is logged in at the product workspace they are compatible with, the install modal opens in the same way as for free add-ons:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/lh7-rt.googleusercontent.com\/docsz\/AD_4nXcnPIDP1_2l0Wp3WGA586NfR8DZHUFBXY4uxl_rCR-kTw-tkaKQQfoexpVMObTPwJajhn0fw2hyzo1Hi5tT7kEtpduDYB260GWP0oWNBb29lMonVKcsfbJUudS1Scil7iTVMpNvoh1Ea0RxSZtNPXF-ZR8?key=gwXsc9Vly0RemvZ53jG9Wg\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Paid add-ons\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Flat pricing (monthly price displayed in the currency set up in the Settings on Clockify)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"translation-block\">After you click <strong>Continue<\/strong>, you\u2019re redirected to <strong>Install add-on <\/strong>modal<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/lh7-rt.googleusercontent.com\/docsz\/AD_4nXdY7QSNBmU_LBYJxhMo49a2kQ-UQdaZNtQP45QTiP1Uw-nDS3BkZjuCEl8JlsFkaTk7lot67I4GrvAkF-XO6fDlKO2ZbtwKhuiDN1OoiiSPNN3W6eO4NP2Pow2NpqTf1bSYz3ofld1ga7diE632HTroDhg?key=gwXsc9Vly0RemvZ53jG9Wg\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>In case that the ws already has an add-on, you\u2019ll get the info that there are no refunds and that the subscription will be renewed automatically and the subscription cancellation becomes effective with the next billing cycle.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/lh7-rt.googleusercontent.com\/docsz\/AD_4nXfRY4U_9B3cPJhy2de6ueoX3hPGfj4Azwxrb56DJekWCVxnF0Y_ZsK9KWzEJDtDd44xEsZKySfz7XIVCrxiczJTwwcOeNAU5AMH3LTgbitnsVDc1qZNM-t38E0RHKyPdhU3pv2aNHxTjTtM7hV8CkLpKH4P?key=gwXsc9Vly0RemvZ53jG9Wg\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Information from customer<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Information on the customer contains the following information:&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>If customer already purchased an add-on<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>If customer has Clockify subscription (with or without Customer information &#8211; country, customer type)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>If they are a first-time payer<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/lh7-rt.googleusercontent.com\/docsz\/AD_4nXdZY_eHehJS2QIdvqnc7-h4cyvbGUy2rJ8GjXzy_SdjQwhn2rF2XSDZHxtATRZizbBd9XuDheMTbUHtlU_A3glHQ7ezGaIZW5t7F-qnwNmPn4LyE9khnZsOz3WfpPCoAnvSosmQMr_ygilxZcgWG_TXWCg?key=gwXsc9Vly0RemvZ53jG9Wg\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"note translation-block\">If the user is the <strong>first time payer<\/strong> and already has a subscription to Clockify, there is already some information about them in the system.&nbsp;If paid add-on is installed successfully, confirmation email is sent to the workspace Admins.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Install private add-ons<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>To improve your integration&#8217;s security, you can create private add-ons directly in the Developer portal.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"tip\">Remember to whitelist your Clockify workspace during the add-on release process.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>To successfully install and use your private add-on, follow these steps:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li class=\"translation-block\">Whitelist your Clockify workspace while creating private add-on in <a href=\"https:\/\/developer.marketplace.cake.com\/login\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">developer portal<\/a><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"translation-block\">You&#8217;ll receive an email confirming the whitelisting, which includes a <strong>View add-on <\/strong>button<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Click this button to be redirected to your private add-on&#8217;s preview page in the Marketplace (e.g. <a href=\"https:\/\/marketplace.cake.com\/addons\/966b331c-6958-4dd9-a5ab-813cfa9811c5\">https:\/\/marketplace.cake.com\/addons\/966b331c-6958-4dd9-a5ab-813cfa9811c5<\/a>)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"translation-block\">Finally, click the <strong>Install <\/strong>button (just as you would with any publicly available add-on)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Choose your workspace to complete the installation<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"note translation-block\">If you see a <strong>This page doesn&#8217;t exist<\/strong> error, make sure you&#8217;re logged into the <a href=\"https:\/\/marketplace.cake.com\/\">CAKE.com Marketplace<\/a> with the correct Clockify account.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Filled payment information<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"translation-block\">After the payment is finalized, all the customer and payment information will be filled out: <strong>Customer info<\/strong>, <strong>Invoice info<\/strong> and <strong>Payment info<\/strong>.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Customer &amp; payment info tab<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"tip\">Information regarding customer &amp; payment data can be edited at any point.&nbsp;However, only workspace owner can edit customer information.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"741\" src=\"https:\/\/clockify.me\/help\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/08\/customer_and_payment_no-banner-1024x741.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-19726\" srcset=\"https:\/\/clockify.me\/help\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/08\/customer_and_payment_no-banner-1024x741.png 1024w, https:\/\/clockify.me\/help\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/08\/customer_and_payment_no-banner-300x217.png 300w, https:\/\/clockify.me\/help\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/08\/customer_and_payment_no-banner-768x556.png 768w, https:\/\/clockify.me\/help\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/08\/customer_and_payment_no-banner-18x12.png 18w, https:\/\/clockify.me\/help\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/08\/customer_and_payment_no-banner.png 1141w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"tip translation-block\">Keep in mind that, in this step, you can change the <strong>Country<\/strong> even if you selected <strong>Individual<\/strong> as <strong>Customer type<\/strong>. This way, you can have two countries: one as a customer info and other in payment info modal.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Things to remember:<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>If an add-on is already installed in a workspace, that workspace will be disabled in the dropdown&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>For workspaces in specific regions, the add-on may not save data there due to the data protection regulations. <em>This means that Clockify doesn\u2019t have an insight into where add-on data is stored.
