This guide will walk regular users through how to view, interpret, and filter their time-tracking reports in Clockify. You will learn how to access various report types, filter by specific criteria such as date, project, or client, and customize reports to fit your needs.

Overview of reports<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Clockify offers several types of reports to help you track time and expenses:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Summary report<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

The Summary report<\/a> groups your time entries by project, client, user, tag, and date. It\u2019s ideal for getting an overview of your time entries over a specific date range.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Summary report data can be grouped by Project, Client, User, Tag, or Date to change how the information is visualized.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Detailed report<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

This report shows all the details of your time entries, without grouping or summarizing. It provides a line-by-line breakdown of each time entry.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Weekly report<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Weekly report is great for weekly tracking because it shows time entries grouped by user or project within a fixed week range.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Navigate the reports<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

To access and navigate the reports section:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

  1. Go to the Reports<\/strong> page in the sidebar <\/li>\n\n\n\n
  2. Choose between the Summary, Detailed, or Weekly report<\/strong>, depending on your needs<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

    Time rounding<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

    Time rounding is a paid feature available in the Standard, Pro, and Enterprise<\/a> plan.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

    The Time rounding switch toggles between displaying the exact time tracked and the rounded time as defined in your Workspace settings.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    When the switch is turned ON<\/strong>, the report applies your specific rounding rules. When the switch is turned OFF<\/strong>, the report reverts to showing the exact duration<\/strong> of each time entry as originally recorded. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

    To enable Rounding in reports:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      \n
    1. Go to Reports<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n
    2. Select a report (Summary\/Detailed\/Weekly<\/strong>)<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    3. Enable the Rounding <\/strong>switch on top of the report\u2019s table<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

      Filter your reports<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

      Clockify allows you to filter your reports by several criteria to get the data you need. For more precise reporting, you can enable or disable rounding for the time entries.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      Date range<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

      The date range filter defines the time period for the data displayed in the report.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      Click the date picker in the top-right corner to select a custom range, or use presets such as This week<\/strong>, Last month<\/strong>, or This year<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      You can select a date range up to 31 days (1 month) if you\u2019re on the Free plan.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

      Project<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

      To view entries linked to particular projects, use the Project filter.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      Select one or more projects from the dropdown. You can also filter by Active, Archived, or Without Project.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      Client<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

      This filter shows time tracked for specific clients across all their projects.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      Select a client to automatically include all their projects. Includes options for Active, Archived, and Without Client.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      Team\/User<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

      Filters the report to show entries from specific team members or groups. Includes filters for All, Active, Inactive, Groups, Without group, and Users (individual team members).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      Admins can select individual users or entire user groups. Regular users typically only see their own time, depending on the Workspace permissions<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      Task<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

      Use the Task filter to show specific tasks within projects. Includes filters for All, Active, Done, and Without task.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
