This can save significant time when adjusting details like projects, tasks, or tags.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Access permissions<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>The permissions for using Bulk edit features vary depending on the user&#8217;s role within the platform, as detailed in the table below:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-table translation-block\"><table class=\"has-fixed-layout\"><tbody><tr><td><strong>User role<\/strong><\/td><td><strong>Time tracker page<\/strong><\/td><td><strong>Timesheet page<\/strong><\/td><\/tr><tr><td><strong>Admin<\/strong><\/td><td>Has full access to bulk edit and delete all entries.<\/td><td>Has full access to bulk submit, approve, and reject.<\/td><\/tr><tr><td><strong>Team Manager<\/strong><\/td><td>Can bulk edit and delete time entries for their assigned team members.<\/td><td>Can bulk submit, approve, and reject timesheets for their team members.<\/td><\/tr><tr><td><strong>Project Manager<\/strong><\/td><td>Can bulk edit and delete time entries only for their assigned projects.<\/td><td>Can bulk approve and reject timesheets only for their assigned projects.<\/td><\/tr><\/tbody><\/table><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Bulk edit time entries<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"translation-block\">There are two primary ways to bulk edit time entries, depending on whether you are editing for a single day or across a large time range.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Edit from the Time Tracker Page<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>This method is ideal for quick edits to a specific user&#8217;s entries on a single day.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li class=\"translation-block\">Go to the <strong>Time Tracker<\/strong> page<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"translation-block\">Find the list of time entries for the user and the day you wish to edit<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"translation-block\">Click the <strong>Bulk edit icon<\/strong> next to the total number of hours tracked for that specific day<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Tick the checkboxes next to the time entries you want to edit<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"translation-block\">Click <strong>Bulk edit<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Edit items in the Bulk edit window:\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Description<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Project<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Tags<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Billable<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Time<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Date<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"translation-block\">7. Click <strong>Save <\/strong>to apply the changes<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"736\" height=\"364\" src=\"https:\/\/clockify.me\/help\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/07\/Bulk-edit-time-tracker.gif\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-28649\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"note\">The Time Tracker page only allows you to edit your own entries.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Edit from the Detailed Report<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>This is the most powerful method for making changes across multiple users, projects, or dates.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li class=\"translation-block\">Go to <strong>Report<\/strong> and select <strong>Detailed Report<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Filter your data by project, client, user, date range, or other criteria to narrow down the entries you want to modify<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Tick the checkboxes to select the time entries you want to edit. You can select all filtered entries by clicking the checkbox at the top of the column.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"translation-block\">Click the <strong>Bulk edit<\/strong> button that appears above the table.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Edit the relevant fields in the Bulk edit window<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"translation-block\">Click <strong>Save<\/strong> to apply the updates to all selected time entries<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"736\" height=\"364\" src=\"https:\/\/clockify.me\/help\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/07\/Bulk-edit-detailed-report.gif\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-28650\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"tip\">Always filter your data by project, user, or date before selecting entries for bulk editing to prevent accidental changes to irrelevant entries.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Use tags for bulk edits<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>1. Select the time entries you want to edit<br>2. In the dialog window, enter the new tag in the Tags field<br>3. A message pops up confirming that the entries have been deleted.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"736\" height=\"364\" deletion<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>To restore a deletion, click the Undo button on the pop-up message (in green background) after deleting entries.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"note\">You have approximately 20 seconds to click Undo and restore the entry with all its original data.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Bulk submit timesheets for others<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"note\">Only team managers and admins can bulk submit and bulk approve timesheets.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li class=\"translation-block\">Go to the <strong>Approval<\/strong> page&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"translation-block\">Click <strong>Unsubmitted<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Tick the checkboxes to select the timesheets you want to submit<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"translation-block\">Click the <strong>Pending<\/strong> tab<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Tick the checkboxes to select multiple pending timesheets<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"translation-block\">Click the <strong>Approve<\/strong> or <strong>Reject<\/strong> button that appears<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"translation-block\">Click <strong>Approve All <\/strong>or <strong>Reject All<\/strong> to confirm your
