Sometimes, when trying to launch a kiosk, you might run into an error stating that the URL is invalid. This can happen for a few different reasons, most of them easy to fix with a quick settings check or adjustment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Check your subscription plan<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Kiosk is a paid feature. If the workspace owner\/admin downgrades the subscription from a paid plan to a free plan or your free trial has ended, kiosk URLs will be disabled. To reactivate access, subscribe to Basic plan or higher.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Deactivate the kiosk<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

If you\u2019re seeing an invalid URL error, try refreshing the kiosk by deactivating and re-activating it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

To do this: <\/p>\n\n\n\n

  1. Go to the Kiosks<\/strong> page from the sidebar<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  2. Click on the three dot icon<\/strong> next to the kiosk and select Deactivate<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n
  3. Use the filter to show inactive kiosks<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  4. Click the three dot icon<\/strong> again and select Activate<\/strong> <\/li>\n\n\n\n
  5. Copy the kiosk link and try launching it again<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

    Kiosk name contains unsupported characters<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

    Special characters like slashes (\/) or symbols (! @ #) are not allowed in the kiosk name because it can break the URL.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Solution:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    1. Go to the Kiosks<\/strong> page<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    2. Click the three dot icon<\/strong> next to the kiosk<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    3. Select Edit<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n
    4. Remove or replace special characters in the kiosk name<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    5. Save changes and use the updated link<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

      Browser issues<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

      Cache, cookies, or browser settings may cause loading issues even with a valid URL. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

      Solution:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      • Try launching the kiosk in an incognito\/private window.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
      • Update the browser and relaunch<\/li>\n\n\n\n
      • Clear the cache and cookies from the browser <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n
