Identify schedule gaps and compare planned activities with actual tracked time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">View time<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>A time entry will appear as one block in the Calendar&#8217;s time slots. The current day is marked as blue in the table header, and the current time is indicated by a blue horizontal line.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"556\" src=\"https:\/\/clockify.me\/help\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/11\/Calendar-1024x556.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-28943\" srcset=\"https:\/\/clockify.me\/help\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/11\/Calendar-1024x556.png 1024w, https:\/\/clockify.me\/help\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/11\/Calendar-300x163.png 300w, https:\/\/clockify.me\/help\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/11\/Calendar-768x417.png 768w, https:\/\/clockify.me\/help\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/11\/Calendar-1536x834.png 1536w, https:\/\/clockify.me\/help\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/11\/Calendar-2048x1112.png 2048w, https:\/\/clockify.me\/help\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/11\/Calendar-18x10.png 18w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Each time slot represents 1 hour, but you can zoom in using the plus sign in the upper left corner&nbsp; down to 30, 15, or 5-minute blocks.<br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>You can hover over a time block to see full entry details, or click on the block to open the full view of the time entry.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"tip translation-block\">You can change the first day of the week in your <strong>Profile settings<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">View team member&#8217;s calendar<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"note translation-block\">Viewing a team member\u2019s calendar is part of <a href=\"https:\/\/clockify.me\/help\/track-time-and-expenses\/add-time-for-others\">the Add time for others feature<\/a>, which is a paid feature available on any paid plan.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Not everyone can view a teammate&#8217;s calendar.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Admins can view, add, and edit calendar entries for all members in the workspace<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"translation-block\">Team Managers can view and edit calendars only for the specific users or groups they manage (provided the <strong>Team managers can edit time<\/strong> setting is enabled by an Admin)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"translation-block\">Regular users generally cannot view others&#8217; calendars unless an Admin enabled it in <strong>Workspace settings<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>To view a user&#8217;s calendar:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li class=\"translation-block\">Go to the <strong>Calendar<\/strong> page<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"translation-block\">Click on the <strong>Teammates <\/strong>dropdown at the top of the <strong>Calendar<\/strong> page<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Select a user from the list<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"712\" height=\"378\" src=\"https:\/\/clockify.me\/help\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/11\/View-team-members-calendar.gif\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-28945\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Add time entry<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>To add a time entry in the calendar:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"translation-block\">1. Click on the time block to log a time entry<br>2. Add or modify the following details as needed in the <strong>Add time entry<\/strong> window:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li class=\"translation-block\"><strong>Duration: <\/strong>The total length of time spent on an activity<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"translation-block\"><strong>Start\/End Time: <\/strong>The time when a task began and concluded<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"translation-block\"><strong>Date: <\/strong>The date when the task was completed<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"translation-block\"><strong>Description: <\/strong>A short description of the task<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"translation-block\"><strong>Project: <\/strong>The project the entry is assigned to<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"translation-block\"><strong>Tag: <\/strong>A keyword or category commonly used for reporting or billing purposes<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"translation-block\"><strong>Billable (Yes\/No): <\/strong>A toggle used to indicate whether the time spent should be charged to a client<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"translation-block\">3. Click <strong>Add<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"712\" height=\"378\" src=\"https:\/\/clockify.me\/help\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/11\/Add-time-in-calendar.gif\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-28946\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"note\">Make sure to stop an active timer before creating a time entry in the calendar to avoid overlaps that cause conflict.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Edit time entry<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>You can edit time entries directly in the Calendar:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li class=\"translation-block\"><strong>Resize:<\/strong> Drag the start\/end time edges of the time block to shorten or extend the entry.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"918\" height=\"292\" src=\"https:\/\/clockify.me\/help\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/11\/Resize-time-entry.gif\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-28947\" style=\"aspect-ratio:3.143859649122807;width:655px;height:auto\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li class=\"translation-block\"><strong>Move:<\/strong> Drag and drop the whole time block to move it to another time slot or date.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"690\" height=\"390\" src=\"https:\/\/clockify.me\/help\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/11\/Move-time-entry.gif\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-28948\" style=\"width:656px;height:auto\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li class=\"translation-block\"><strong>Split:<\/strong> Click on a time entry to split a running or already created entry.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"660\" height=\"408\" src=\"https:\/\/clockify.me\/help\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/11\/Split-time-in-calendar.gif\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-28949\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Show working days only<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>To hide weekends or non-working days:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li class=\"translation-block\">Click on the <strong>gear icon<\/strong> on your <strong>Calendar<\/strong> page<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"translation-block\">Enable the <strong>Show working days only<\/strong> option<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"translation-block\">Click <strong>Close<\/strong> to exit<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"714\" height=\"376\" src=\"https:\/\/clockify.me\/help\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/11\/Show-only-work-days.gif\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-28950\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Connect Google\/Outlook calendar<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"translation-block\">Clockify allows you to connect your Google or Outlook calendars to sync events in the Clockify <strong>Calendar<\/strong> page.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>To connect your external calendar:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list translation-block\">\n<li class=\"translation-block\">Go to the <strong>Calendar<\/strong> page<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"translation-block\">Click the <strong>gear icon<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"translation-block\">Click <strong>Connect<\/strong> for Google Calendar or Outlook<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"translation-block\">Authorize Clockify to access your calendar&#8217;s events<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"714\" height=\"376\" src=\"https:\/\/clockify.me\/help\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/11\/Connect-Google-calendar.gif\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-28955\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Some important information about this integration:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Only the cloud-based version of Outlook is supported at this time<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Clockify has view-only access to your external calendars<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Changes made in Google or Outlook (like moving a meeting) will update in Clockify<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Moving or editing a &#8220;copied&#8221; block in Clockify will not change the original event in your Google or Outlook calendar<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Only events with a start and end time appear in the Calendar view. If you have all-day events in your external calendar, it won\u2019t be visible in the Clockify calendar.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Start timer for an event<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>To start a timer for a Google\/Outlook event:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li class=\"translation-block\">Go to <strong>Calendar<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"translation-block\">Hover over the event and click the <strong>play icon<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"714\" height=\"376\" src=\"https:\/\/clockify.me\/help\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/11\/Start-time-entry-from-event.gif\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-28956\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Create a time entry from event<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>To create a Clockify time entry from an external event:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list translation-block\">\n<li>Go to <strong>Calendar<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Hover over the event and click <strong>Copy as time entry<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Edit the event details on the pop-up window\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Description<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Project<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Tags<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Billable\/non-billable<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Click <strong>Add<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"714\" height=\"376\" src=\"https:\/\/clockify.me\/help\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/11\/Copy-event-as-time-entry.gif\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-28957\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Open event in Google\/Outlook<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>You can open external events directly from the Clockify calendar.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>To open an external event:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list translation-block\">\n<li>Go to <strong>Calendar<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Click on the event name<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Click the <strong>launch icon<\/strong> to open the event in Google\/Outlook<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"714\" height=\"376\" src=\"https:\/\/clockify.me\/help\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/11\/Open-event-in-Google.gif\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-28958\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Important notes on external calendars:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>External calendar events are private. Even if you are a member of a team, your manager or workspace admin cannot see your Google\/Outlook events.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Converting an external event to a Clockify time entry makes it a standard entry that is visible to admins and included in workspace reports<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Work with multiple calendars<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>You can add calendars from multiple accounts by repeating the connection process for each account.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"648\" src=\"https:\/\/clockify.me\/help\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/11\/Add-multiple-calendars-1024x648.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-28959\" style=\"width:735px;height:auto\" srcset=\"https:\/\/clockify.me\/help\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/11\/Add-multiple-calendars-1024x648.png 1024w, https:\/\/clockify.me\/help\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/11\/Add-multiple-calendars-300x190.png 300w, https:\/\/clockify.me\/help\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/11\/Add-multiple-calendars-768x486.png 768w, https:\/\/clockify.me\/help\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/11\/Add-multiple-calendars-1536x972.png 1536w, https:\/\/clockify.me\/help\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/11\/Add-multiple-calendars-18x12.png 18w, https:\/\/clockify.me\/help\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/11\/Add-multiple-calendars.png 1600w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"translation-block\">If you have events spread across multiple different accounts (e.g., a personal Gmail and a work Gmail), you should share the secondary calendars with your primary<strong> <\/strong>account first. Once shared, those sub-calendars will appear in <strong>Calendar settings<\/strong>, where you can toggle them on or off individually.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Disconnect Google Calendar or Outlook<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>To remove a connected calendar:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list translation-block\">\n<li>Go to the <strong>Calendar settings<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Click on the <strong>three-dot icon<\/strong> next to the calendar you want to disconnect<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Select <strong>Disconnect<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"753\" src=\"https:\/\/clockify.me\/help\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/11\/Disconnect-calendar-1024x753.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-28960\" style=\"aspect-ratio:1.3599109582110696;width:728px;height:auto\" srcset=\"https:\/\/clockify.me\/help\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/11\/Disconnect-calendar-1024x753.png 1024w, https:\/\/clockify.me\/help\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/11\/Disconnect-calendar-300x221.png 300w, https:\/\/clockify.me\/help\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/11\/Disconnect-calendar-768x565.png 768w, https:\/\/clockify.me\/help\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/11\/Disconnect-calendar-1536x1130.png 1536w, https:\/\/clockify.me\/help\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/11\/Disconnect-calendar-16x12.png 16w, https:\/\/clockify.me\/help\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/11\/Disconnect-calendar.png 1600w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"note\">Once disconnected, Clockify loses its read-only access to your external calendar.
