Locking timesheets prevents team members from adding new time entries or editing old ones for a specific period. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

This is a paid feature available on Standard, Pro, and Enterprise<\/strong> plans<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Permissions<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

When a timesheet is locked, permissions vary based on a user’s role. The table below defines who is permitted to edit timesheets and who is not after the locking process.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Manual lock<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Use this method if you want to lock entries up to a specific date.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

To manually lock time entries:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

  1. Click on the three-dot icon<\/strong> next to your Workspace name<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  2. Select Workspace settings<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n
  3. Open the Permissions<\/strong> tab<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  4. Toggle the Lock entries<\/strong> switch to ON<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n
  5. Select the date before which<\/strong> all entries will be locked<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

    Changes are saved automatically.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Automatic lock<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

    Automating the lock date ensures you don\u2019t have to update settings manually every week or month.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    To automatically lock time entries:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    1. Go to Workspace settings<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n
    2. Select Permissions<\/strong> tab<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    3. Toggle Automatically update lock date<\/strong> to ON<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n
    4. Select your preferred frequency:<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n
