Rounding only affects the reports, meaning that the rounded values will only be displayed in the reports and exports.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">What rounding affects when it&#8217;s ON<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Time rounding only affects the reports and can be turned on and off as you wish.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Calculating duration<\/strong>: Clockify will first round the duration of each time entry, and then add them up.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"translation-block\"><strong>Export<\/strong>: durations and values will be rounded in the export too.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Calculated earnings<\/strong>: when calculating the value of your billable hours, Clockify takes rounded time entries.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Detailed report<\/strong>: you can&#8217;t edit time entries in the Detailed report when the rounding is on.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Time rounding doesn&#8217;t change any data, only how it&#8217;s displayed, which can always be turned on\/off. If you set the rounding to the nearest minute, your 00:10:56 time entry will be displayed as 00:11:00 once you turn the rounding on. And it will go back to 00:10:56 when you turn the rounding off. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Rounding options<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>You can set the rounding interval and how you want to round time entries in your workspace settings:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Round down<\/strong> (for example: if the interval is set to 30min, a 1-29min entry will show up in reports as 0min)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Round up<\/strong> (for example: if the interval is set to 30min, a 1-29min entry will show up in reports as 30min)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Round to nearest<\/strong> (for example: if the interval is set to 30min, a 1-14min entry will show up in reports as 0min, and a 16-29min entry as 30min)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1326\" height=\"801\" src=\"https:\/\/clockify.me\/help\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/03\/rounding.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-3286\" srcset=\"https:\/\/clockify.me\/help\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/03\/rounding.png 1326w, https:\/\/clockify.me\/help\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/03\/rounding-300x181.png 300w, https:\/\/clockify.me\/help\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/03\/rounding-768x464.png 768w, https:\/\/clockify.me\/help\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/03\/rounding-1024x619.png 1024w, https:\/\/clockify.me\/help\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/03\/rounding-60x36.png 60w, https:\/\/clockify.me\/help\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/03\/rounding-150x91.png 150w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1326px) 100vw, 1326px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"note\">If your duration format is set to hh: mm in your Workspace settings, time entry will be rounded up to a minute. For example, if you tracked 0 hours, 1 minute, and 15 seconds (00:01:15), the entry will be shown as 0 hours and 2 minutes (00:02).
