<strong>General<\/strong> tab<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"translation-block\">Choose the authentication method: <strong>QR code<\/strong> or <strong>PIN<\/strong> (4- or 6-digit)<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"909\" src=\"https:\/\/clockify.me\/help\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/04\/Screenshot-2025-12-09-at-15.52.38-1024x909.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-27866\" style=\"width:650px\" srcset=\"https:\/\/clockify.me\/help\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/04\/Screenshot-2025-12-09-at-15.52.38-1024x909.png 1024w, https:\/\/clockify.me\/help\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/04\/Screenshot-2025-12-09-at-15.52.38-300x266.png 300w, https:\/\/clockify.me\/help\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/04\/Screenshot-2025-12-09-at-15.52.38-768x682.png 768w, https:\/\/clockify.me\/help\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/04\/Screenshot-2025-12-09-at-15.52.38-1536x1364.png 1536w, https:\/\/clockify.me\/help\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/04\/Screenshot-2025-12-09-at-15.52.38-14x12.png 14w, https:\/\/clockify.me\/help\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/04\/Screenshot-2025-12-09-at-15.52.38.png 1692w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Clock in via QR code<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>QR codes make clocking in fast and secure for both limited and regular users.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"note translation-block\">QR code authentication method is available on <a href=\"https:\/\/clockify.me\/help\/administration\/subscription-plans#standard\">Standard<\/a> and higher subscription plans. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"translation-block\">Before you start, enable QR authentication in the <strong>Workspace settings<\/strong>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>To clock in via QR code: <\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Open the kiosk app<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Open the QR code you received by email<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>After scanning, you&#8217;re automatically logged in and can clock in\/out<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Clock in via PIN<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"translation-block\">PINs allow quick access without searching for your name on <a href=\"https:\/\/clockify.me\/help\/track-time-and-expenses\/track-time-on-kiosk\">kiosk<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"note translation-block\">Logging in with PIN is a <a href=\"https:\/\/clockify.me\/help\/administration\/subscription-plans\">paid feature<\/a>, that you can enable by upgrading your account to any paid plan.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>There are two types of PINs used to authenticate kiosk members: <\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>4-digit PIN<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>6-digit PIN (more secure and provides more unique combinations)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Admin can enforce either option at the Workspace level. When enforced, all kiosks use that same PIN type. After that, admins receive a file with personal PINs of all Kiosk members and distribute them.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>To clock in via PIN: <\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Open the Kiosk<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Enter your 4-digit or 6-digit PIN <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Clock in <\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p>After 3 failed login attempts, you should contact your manager, since you won&#8217;t be able to log in to the kiosk by yourself. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Fallback options<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"translation-block\">If QR scanning fails, you can clock in using your 6-digit PIN. <br>Each kiosk has a <strong>Universal PIN<\/strong> for clocking in any non-admin user. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"tip\">Admin can see and download all QR codes and PINs, even if kiosks are offline. They can switch authentication methods anytime. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Personal vs Universal PIN<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"translation-block\">Each kiosk has a <strong>Universal PIN<\/strong> that allows you to clock in and out for any employee (except <strong>owner\/admin<\/strong>)<br>e.g. Give this PIN to a shift manager so that they can clock in for a team if needed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"500\" height=\"742\" src=\"https:\/\/clockify.me\/help\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/06\/Create-kiosk-modal-full-1.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-10633\" srcset=\"https:\/\/clockify.me\/help\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/06\/Create-kiosk-modal-full-1.png 500w, https:\/\/clockify.me\/help\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/06\/Create-kiosk-modal-full-1-202x300.png 202w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 500px) 100vw, 500px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"translation-block\">Each employee, upon becoming a member, automatically gets their own <strong>personal<\/strong> <strong>PIN code<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"translation-block\">To clock in, an employee simply selects their profile on the kiosk and enters their personal PIN.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"tip translation-block\">If you know kiosk&#8217;s <strong>Universal PIN<\/strong>, you can enter it instead of a personal PIN to clock in for any employee.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"note translation-block\">A <strong>Universal PIN<\/strong> cannot be used to sign in with owner\/admin role. class=\"translation-block\">Go to <strong>Kiosks<\/strong> page<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"translation-block\">Click on three dots next to a kiosk<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"translation-block\">Click <strong>Export assignees<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Open the CSV file to see all kiosk assignees and their PIN codes<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>A regular user can&#8217;t have the same PIN code as some admin. <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"translation-block\">Each kiosk has a unique Universal PIN code.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"translation-block\">An admin can&#8217;t have the same PIN code as any Universal PIN code on any kiosk.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"translation-block\">Any PIN code can&#8217;t have the same four\/six digits (e.g. 111111).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Bulk send QR codes<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"translation-block\">Use the bulk send feature to send QR codes to multiple <strong>Full team members<\/strong> who log in using the Kiosk.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>To send QR codes to multiple team members:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li class=\"translation-block\">Go to the <strong>Team<\/strong> page<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Check the box next to the team member\u2019s names to whom you want to send QR codes<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"translation-block\">Click <strong>Send QR codes<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"translation-block\">Click <strong>Send <\/strong>on the confirmation window<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"tip translation-block\">Check the box on the top right corner (next to <strong>Name<\/strong>) to select all team members.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure users<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Admins cannot manually edit an employee&#8217;s PIN<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>If you disable\/re-enable a kiosk, existing PINs stay the same<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>If you switch authentication method, you get a new PIN for the new method<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Switching back restores your previous PIN for that method <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-group related-articles\"><div
