Some features, like Time Tracker, are automatically activated when you create an account. While other features, such as Timesheet, have to be enabled first to be visible.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"translation-block\">You can browse the Workspace settings to explore the active\/inactive features for yourself, or read the full list of features that have to be enabled in <a href=\"https:\/\/clockify.me\/learn\/resources\/organize-workspace-in-clockify\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">this guide<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"translation-block\">The next thing to set up is how your time-tracking data will be organized throughout your workspace.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 id=\"categorizing-time\" class=\"wp-block-heading translation-block\">Categorizing time<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"translation-block\">By default, time in Clockify is categorized through tasks, projects, and clients. But these labels can be renamed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"translation-block\">So, if you wish to track time on, e.g., <em>Jobs, Locations, Departments<\/em> instead of <em>Tasks, Projects, Clients,<\/em> you can rename the labels.<\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"628\" height=\"267\" src=\"https:\/\/clockify.me\/learn\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/06\/custom-hierarchy.png\" alt=\"Custom data organization through Clockify workspace.\" class=\"wp-image-1203\" srcset=\"https:\/\/clockify.me\/learn\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/06\/custom-hierarchy.png 628w, https:\/\/clockify.me\/learn\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/06\/custom-hierarchy-300x128.png 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 628px) 100vw, 628px\" \/><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\">Custom time entry categorization in a workspace<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n<p class=\"translation-block\">For further categorization, you can also use tags, which work regardless of the hierarchy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"translation-block\">You can create tags for any type of time entries you want to later filter out much more easily in the Reports.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"translation-block\"><mark style=\"background-color:#e6f6fe\" class=\"has-inline-color\">For example, you can create an \u201cOvertime\u201d tag, and when you track your work, your overtime hours can be marked with an Overtime tag.<\/mark><\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"146\" src=\"https:\/\/clockify.me\/learn\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/06\/entry-with-overtime-tag-1024x146.png\" alt=\"A time entry with an &quot;Overtime&quot; tag.\" class=\"wp-image-1204\" srcset=\"https:\/\/clockify.me\/learn\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/06\/entry-with-overtime-tag-1024x146.png 1024w, https:\/\/clockify.me\/learn\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/06\/entry-with-overtime-tag-300x43.png 300w, https:\/\/clockify.me\/learn\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/06\/entry-with-overtime-tag-768x110.png 768w, https:\/\/clockify.me\/learn\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/06\/entry-with-overtime-tag.png 1267w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n<p class=\"translation-block\">Other than that, in the Workspace settings, you can set all the general settings related to your workspace, such as the default billability status for projects, billable and cost rates for the whole workspace, currency format, data format, number format, and so on.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 id=\"permissions-roles\" class=\"wp-block-heading translation-block\">Permissions &amp; roles<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"translation-block\">Before you invite all the team members and assign them adequate roles, make sure that all the permissions for specific roles are set as you want in the <a href=\"https:\/\/clockify.me\/help\/administration\/user-roles-and-permissions\/who-can-do-what\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Permissions<\/a> tab in the Workspace settings.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"translation-block\">In short, there are four types of roles in Clockify:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li class=\"translation-block\"><strong>Owner<\/strong> &#8211; a person who created a workspace and who can add\/remove Admins<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"translation-block\"><strong>Admins<\/strong> &#8211; who can see and edit everything<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"translation-block\"><strong>Managers <\/strong>&#8211; who can manage people and projects<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"translation-block\"><strong>Regular users<\/strong> &#8211; who can track time and see reports<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"translation-block\">After you have all the permissions for the roles are set, you can proceed to invite team members.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 id=\"managing-team-members\" class=\"wp-block-heading translation-block\">Managing team members<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"translation-block\">Clockify by CAKE.com allows you to add full or limited users. For limited users, you only need to add a name.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"translation-block\">While you\u2019re adding team members, you can right away assign them adequate roles in Clockify to manage <a href=\"https:\/\/clockify.me\/help\/administration\/user-roles-and-permissions\/who-can-do-what\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">who can do what<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"translation-block\">You can also organize team members in <a href=\"https:\/\/clockify.me\/help\/administration\/user-groups\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Groups<\/a>, and when a new team member joins, you can give them access to certain projects just by assigning them to a group, instead of doing it manually.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"translation-block\">On the Team page, you can customize and <a href=\"https:\/\/clockify.me\/help\/administration\/edit-profiles\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">edit each member\u2019s profile<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n<div member.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"translation-block\">And if you need any further information on each employee, go to the Workspace settings and create <a href=\"https:\/\/clockify.me\/help\/track-time-and-expenses\/user-fields\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">custom user fields<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"translation-block\">When you add your active custom user fields, you will see that information in their profile settings.<\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" address, client currency, and custom notes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"translation-block\">Tying your tracked hours to projects and clients will help you filter out just the information you need in the reports.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 id=\"managing-projects\" class=\"wp-block-heading translation-block\">Managing projects<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"translation-block\">Projects in Clockify will group your total tracked time, help you filter out the reports, and give you insight into the work tied to a project or a client.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"translation-block\">When creating a project, you can assign it
