<em>Tasks<\/em>, <em>Tags<\/em>, and other information you want to import should be separated by a comma, with their category in the first row, and their values in each row below.<\/p>\n\n\n<div formatting rules<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li class=\"translation-block\"><mark style=\"background-color:#e6f6fe\" class=\"has-inline-color\">Only Admins can do the import.<\/mark><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"translation-block\"><mark style=\"background-color:#e6f6fe\" class=\"has-inline-color\">If an item already exists, it will be skipped during the import. Only items that don\u2019t already exist will be created.<\/mark><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"translation-block\"><mark style=\"background-color:#e6f6fe\" class=\"has-inline-color\">Tasks can\u2019t be imported without its Project.<\/mark><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"translation-block\"><mark style=\"background-color:#e6f6fe\" class=\"has-inline-color\">The order of the columns is not important.<\/mark><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"translation-block\"><mark style=\"background-color:#e6f6fe\" class=\"has-inline-color\">Names are case sensitive.<\/mark><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"translation-block\"><mark style=\"background-color:#e6f6fe\" class=\"has-inline-color\">You can perform an import action for an unlimited number of times, but the file size is limited to 1MB.<\/mark><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"translation-block\"><mark style=\"background-color:#e6f6fe\" class=\"has-inline-color\">User\u2019s email in Clockify and their email in the CSV file have to match.<\/mark><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"translation-block\"><mark style=\"background-color:#e6f6fe\" class=\"has-inline-color\">Required fields for time import: Email, Start date, Start time, Duration.<\/mark><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"translation-block\"><mark style=\"background-color:#e6f6fe\" class=\"has-inline-color\">Optional fields for time import: <em>Billable<\/em>, <em>Description<\/em>, <em>Project<\/em>, <em>Task<\/em>, <em>Client<\/em>, <em>Tag<\/em> (if some of these fields are marked as required in Clockify, they will be required in CSV too).<\/mark><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"translation-block\"><mark style=\"background-color:#e6f6fe\" class=\"has-inline-color\">If you don\u2019t group projects by client, you should rename the client column in the CSV file accordingly.<\/mark><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"translation-block\"><mark style=\"background-color:#e6f6fe\" class=\"has-inline-color\">Duration in the CSV file should match the selected Duration format in workspace settings (<strong>hh:mm:ss<\/strong> or <strong>h:mm<\/strong>).<\/mark><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"translation-block\"><mark style=\"background-color:#e6f6fe\" class=\"has-inline-color\">Values in <em>Start time<\/em> and <em>Start date<\/em> columns in the CSV file should match your start and date formats from your profile settings.<\/mark><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"translation-block\"><mark style=\"background-color:#e6f6fe\" class=\"has-inline-color\"><em>End date<\/em> and <em>end time<\/em> are calculated automatically based on start time and duration.<\/mark><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"translation-block\"><mark style=\"background-color:#e6f6fe\" class=\"has-inline-color\">Projects will inherit initial <em>private\/public<\/em> and <em>billable\/non-billable<\/em> status based on <em>New projects are by default<\/em> workspace settings.<\/mark><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"translation-block\"><mark style=\"background-color:#e6f6fe\" class=\"has-inline-color\">If you don\u2019t specify an entry\u2019s billable status, it will be inherited from its project.<\/mark><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"translation-block\"><mark style=\"background-color:#e6f6fe\" class=\"has-inline-color\">Time entries are imported according to the time zone of the person who does the import.<\/mark><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"translation-block\"><mark style=\"background-color:#e6f6fe\" class=\"has-inline-color\">Hourly rates are inherited according to the hierarchy.<\/mark><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"translation-block\"><mark style=\"background-color:#e6f6fe\" class=\"has-inline-color\">Multiple tags can be imported by surrounding tags in double quotes and separating with a comma (e.g. \u201ctag1, tag2, tag3\u201d)<\/mark><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"translation-block\">Once your imported data is ready and organized, you can proceed to explore other Clockify features and customize it to your needs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 id=\"what-else-can-you-do-in-clockify-by-cake-com\" class=\"wp-block-heading translation-block\">What else can you do in Clockify by CAKE.com?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"translation-block\">If you have plenty of <a href=\"https:\/\/clockify.me\/features\/projects\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">projects<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/clockify.me\/features\/team\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">team members<\/a>, or just want to delegate some of the responsibilities to other team members, you can assign them the role of a <a href=\"https:\/\/clockify.me\/help\/administration\/user-roles-and-permissions\/manager-role\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">manager<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p
