Cookie Policy

This Cookie Policy makes an integral part of our Privacy Policy and Terms of Use. You can find out more about cookies and how to control them in the information below. Concepts written in capital letters in this Cookie Policy have the same meaning as defined in the Privacy Policy or in the Terms of Use.

1. WHAT IS A COOKIE?

Cookies are text files containing small amounts of information that are downloaded to your computer or mobile device when you visit a website. Cookies are then sent back to the originating website on each subsequent visit, or to another website that recognizes that cookie. Cookies are useful because they allow a website to recognize a user's device. They serve the purpose of making our Service more user-friendly, efficient, and secure. Cookies also make it possible for our systems to recognize your browser and offer you the best possible configuration.

We use cookies to collect information about the use of the Website and the Services.

2. TYPES OF COOKIES

In general, there are three different ways to classify cookies: how long they endure, their provenance and what purpose they serve.

DURATION

Session cookies – These cookies are temporary and expire once you close your browser (or once your session ends).

Persistent cookies — This category encompasses all cookies that remain on your hard drive until you erase them, or your browser does, depending on the cookie's expiration date. All persistent cookies have an expiration date written into their code, but their duration can vary.

PROVENANCE

First-party cookies — As the name implies, first-party cookies are put on your device directly by Coing.

Third-party cookies — These are the cookies that are placed on your device, not by Coing, but by a third party like an advertiser or an analytic system.

Information on whether these are first-party or third-party cookies please check the category 'provider' below.

3. USE OF EXTERNAL TOOLS ON OUR WEBSITE

GOOGLE ANALYTICS

Coing has integrated Google Analytics on this website (with an anonymization function). Google Analytics is a website analysis service. Website analysis refers to the collection, recording and analysis of data regarding the behavior of visitors of Clockify. In other words, Google Analytics uses cookies to remember a User's behavior and provide Coing with reports on the visits of the Website and User's activity.

Google Inc., 1600 Amphitheatre Pkwy, Mountain View, CA 94043-1351, USA, is the operator of the Google Analytics component.

Google Analytics uses cookies, as described in the table above. The information about your use of Clockify generated by the Google Analytics cookies is normally transmitted to a Google server in the USA and stored there. Google might disclose these personal data collected via the technical procedure to third parties.

Coing has activated IP anonymization, which means that Google shortens User's IP addresses within the Member States of the European Union or in other countries that are parties to the European Marketing Area Treaty. Only in exceptional cases is the full IP address transmitted to a Google server in the USA and shortened there. Google uses this information to analyze your use of the Website in order to compile a report about your Website activities and provide Coing with other services associated with the Website and Services.

Apart from the instructions in Section 4 of the Cookie Policy, You may furthermore prevent the disclosure of the data generated by the cookie which refer to the use of the Website (incl. your IP address) to Google as well as the processing of these data by Google by downloading and installing the browser plug-in available under the following link.

This browser add-on notifies Google Analytics via JavaScript that no data or information about website visitors may be transmitted to Google Analytics.

In addition, a cookie left behind by Google Analytics may be erased at any time via the Internet browser or other software programs.

Google Analytics is explained in more detail under this link, while information how Google processes data the User may find under this link.

GOOGLE TAG MANAGER

Coing uses Google Tag Manager. This service allows us to administer so-called website tags centrally via an interface. Google Tag Manager implements only tags. No cookies are used and no personal data are collected.

Google has a suitable privacy policy for such data collection by third-party providers.

However Google Tag Manager does not access this data. If certain domains/websites or cookies were deactivated, it remains in place for all tracking tags provided that they are implemented using Google Tag Manager.

4. HOW TO BLOCK COOKIES?

The only type of cookies you may not block are the necessary cookies.

If you wish to disable cookies, you may use your browser settings or you may refuse cookies via the cookie banner and cookie settings.

To disable cookies via the cookie banner, please choose the option "X".

You can change your cookie preferences at any time by clicking on the 'Cookie settings' icon. You can then adjust the available sliders/checkboxes to 'On' or 'Off', then clicking 'Save and close'. You may need to refresh your page for your settings to take effect.

To disable cookies via browser, please note that most internet browsers are set up by default to accept cookies. However, if you want to refuse or delete them (or similar technologies) please refer to the help and support area on your browser for instructions on how to block or delete cookies (for example Microsoft Edge, Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, and Safari). Keep in mind that each browser has a different procedure for managing and configuring cookies. However, if you use your browser settings to block all cookies (including necessary cookies) you may not be able to access all or some parts of our Website or Service.
