The Bulk edit feature helps managers and administrators quickly update, submit, or approve multiple time entries or timesheets at once for accurate and consistent time tracking across your team.

What is Bulk edit? #

Bulk edit allows you to update multiple time entries simultaneously. This can save significant time when adjusting details like projects, tasks, or tags.

The permissions for using Bulk edit features vary depending on the user’s role within the platform, as detailed in the table below:

There are two primary ways to bulk edit time entries, depending on whether you are editing for a single day or across a large time range.

Edit from the Time Tracker Page #

This method is ideal for quick edits to a specific user’s entries on a single day.

  1. Gehe zur Seite Timer
  2. Find the list of time entries for the user and the day you wish to edit
  3. Click the Bulk edit icon next to the total number of hours tracked for that specific day
  4. Tick the checkboxes next to the time entries you want to edit
  5. Click Bulk edit
  6. Edit items in the Bulk edit window:
    • Beschreibung
    • Projekt
    • Tags
    • Abrechenbar
    • Zeit
    • Datum

7. Click Save to apply the changes

The Time Tracker page only allows you to edit your own entries.

Edit from the Detailed Report #

This is the most powerful method for making changes across multiple users, projects, or dates.

  1. Go to Report and select Detailed Report
  2. Filter your data by project, client, user, date range, or other criteria to narrow down the entries you want to modify
  3. Tick the checkboxes to select the time entries you want to edit. You can select all filtered entries by clicking the checkbox at the top of the column.
  4. Click the Bulk edit button that appears above the table.
  5. Edit the relevant fields in the Bulk edit window
  6. Click Save to apply the updates to all selected time entries

Always filter your data by project, user, or date before selecting entries for bulk editing to prevent accidental changes to irrelevant entries.

Use tags for bulk edits #

1. Select the time entries you want to edit
2. In the dialog window, enter the new tag in the Tags field
3. Choose how you want to add the tag:

  • Add to existing – Assigns the new tag in addition to any existing tags on the selected entries.
  • Overwrite existing – Replaces the existing tags with the new one

Bulk delete time entries #

To remove multiple entries at once:

  1. Tick the checkboxes next to the time entries you want to delete or use the bulk edit icon to delete a group of entries
  2. Klicke auf Löschen
  3. Type DELETE in the pop-up and click Delete to confirm your action. A message pops up confirming that the entries have been deleted.

Undo a deletion #

To restore a deletion, click the Undo button on the pop-up message (in green background) after deleting entries.

You have approximately 20 seconds to click Undo and restore the entry with all its original data.

Bulk submit timesheets for others #

Only team managers and admins can bulk submit and bulk approve timesheets.

  1. Go to the Approval page 
  2. Click Unsubmitted
  3. Tick the checkboxes to select the timesheets you want to submit
  4. Klicke auf Einreichen

Bulk approve or reject timesheets #

  1. Go to the Approval page
  2. Choose the Pending tab
  3. Tick the checkboxes to select multiple pending timesheets
  4. Click the Approve or Reject button that appears
  5. Click Approve All or Reject All to confirm your action
