How to track time in Asana
Create Clockify account
Install Clockify browser extension for time tracking
Start timer inside Asana
Clockify timer button will automatically appear in all Asana tasks.
(Note: If you don't see the button, make sure you're logged-in in the extension. If you still don't see the button, restart Chrome.)
Timer starts ticking
Clockify will pick up Asana's task name and the timer will start ticking. You can stop the timer from anywhere (browser, mobile, or desktop).
If there's a project in Clockify that matches the Asana project, the extension will automatically select the project when you start tracking time so you don't have to do it manually. If you want to keep projects synced between Asana and Clockify, you can use Zapier (eg. when a new project is created in Asana, create it in Clockify too, and vice versa).
Run time reports and manage projects
In the web version, you can edit past entries, analyze time, manage projects, invite people, review timesheets, and export reports.
